Over the summer I went on a work trip to St.Kitts for a design installation. It was pretty much all work but thankfully, we had time for a little play! On one of the last days there we took a drive around the island and to the Caribelle Batik Factory.  The batik was gorgeous and the grounds around the factory were incredible.

TOGO by Ligne Roset
Domino April 2007

Domino Magazine April 2007

The famous TOGO has been on the top of my sofa bucket list ever since I was an assistant at Domino. For the April 2007 we did a Sofa story and  showed this totally gorgeous room with these 2 amazing orange TOGO sofas. It looked incredible….I haven’t been able to get this modern marvel off my mind since.

Ligne Roset , whose factory is based in France makes the most amazing modern furniture. They were pioneers in creating this all-foam cushy modern TOGO sofa. It comes in a Sofa, Loveseat, Chair, Ottoman and now a kids chair!

Soo Simple Centerpiece

           shell centerpiece

In honor of Friday and the Weekend,  I thought I’d share my new favorite centerpiece creation that is so crazy easy.

Basically it’s just a Shell Wreath with a Hurricane Candle in the center. Love simple and easy! If you’re entertaining outside, like I am, where it’s usually pretty windy you can totally use  the battery operated kind only because I’m lazy and it’s outside on our windy porch.

1. WREATH:

You could make your own wreath or you can order online like this one:

DIY Jute Wall Sconce

Please excuse my absence from the moodboard.  Since I last checked in;  I’ve completed a super fun house on Folly Beach for a client that is now one of most favorite people on the planet, Moved 4 blocks down the road and spent the summer taking in every second of the amazing place by the ocean where we live.

Anyway, thanks for not forgetting about me:)

I wanted to share this awesome and SUPER easy and cheap little light fixture I created. It’s great for those little hallway areas in your house where there’s no overhead light and nowhere to put a lamp. It’s also nice because it doesn’t involve any hard wiring.
